After the April update of Ethereum, users got access to coins that were locked in the ETH 2.0 deposit contract. Instead of selling them, they began actively withdrawing funds for offline storage.
The reserves of the top 10 Ethereum users reached 32 million coins worth almost $60 billion. The previous record was held since 2015, when there were about 30 million coins in external wallets.
